About Our Local Office

The North Shore/Chicago Metro Office of Right at Home is a locally owned and operated franchise office of Right at Home Inc., a senior home care and staffing company providing care since 1995. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We do that by providing high quality in-home caregivers to serve you.

Caregivers focus on helping individuals maintain their independence and dignity while assisting with a variety of everyday tasks including:

• Assistance with personal care including bathing and dressing
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Errands and Transportation
• Medication Reminders

Caregivers are employees of Right at Home and are bonded, insured, and supervised. We provide care from a minimum of 3 hours per day to 24 hours a day.

In addition, we develop an individual care plan for each client that is monitored through ongoing communication with clients and/or family members and home visits to insure services provided by the caregiver continue to match our client's changing needs.

Clients and their families have used our services for many reasons:

• Assistance for a loved one to remain in their home
• Short-term support at home after a hospital stay
• Respite care to relieve family caregivers
• Alzheimer's care
• Extra care in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital

The North Shore/Chicago Metro Office is owned by Janet Newell. Janet worked for 16 years in customer service and human resources in the banking industry. Janet became interested in opening a Right at Home office after experiencing first hand the challenges of caring for family members and realizing the strong need for high quality in home care for the elderly and others. Janet's goal is to provide superior personalized service to her clients.

Bernie Kramer, an RN with 28 years nursing experience, is the Director of Staffing for the North Shore/Chicago Metro office. Bernie hires and supervises all caregivers and oversees each client's care plan.

Greg Simetz is the Director of Marketing. Greg has many years of varied experience in the healthcare field. Along with his marketing role, Greg also does home visits with potential and current clients.

Tari Sifuentes is the Office Administrator. Tari works with all job applicants and assists Bernie with staffing.
